I just want it to be known what a BLESSING Family Services is. The staff showed support, guidance and the LOVE to me and my daughter during our stay at the shelter. Yes I proudly and humbly admit I am a survivor of domestic violence.

So many of us suffer and die in silence at the hands of our significant others and family. I know people question why do we stay?

When my husband stabbed me and threatened to kill, I thought he’s going to love me to death. I stayed because I thought he would change, it would be better.

The first call I made was to Family Services Domestic Violence Shelter, they provided safety for me and my daughter and saved my life. I now live in an apartment and have a new life.
